Cleanroom simulation represents an important tool to support the elaborate process of flow analysis and qualification for cleanroom approval. Taking into account furnishings, ventilation systems, heat and particle sources and using appropriate turbulence models, the three-dimensional representation of particle concentrations, pressure distributions, velocity and temperature fields and particle paths is made possible.
Detailed analyses as well as temporally and spatially variable processes in the cleanroom as well as virtual tests (e.g. recovery test) can be simulated in advance of the cleanroom qualification.
Compared to metrological flow visualisations in the cleanroom, numerical models have the advantage that they can also represent the flow conditions and contamination spreads of project planning ideas and thus already become effective in the planning phase.
